PATPET is a product provided by Shenzhen Patpet Technology CO.,LTD (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us"). When you use our services, we may collect and use your relevant information. Through this Privacy Policy, we aim to explain how we collect, use, store, and share this information when you use our services, as well as the methods we provide for you to access, update, control, and protect this information. This Privacy Policy is closely related to the PATPET services you use. We hope you read it carefully and, when necessary, make choices you deem appropriate in accordance with this Privacy Policy. For technical terms involved in this Privacy Policy, we try to use concise language and provide links for further explanation to facilitate your understanding.

1. Information We Collect

When we or our third-party partners provide services, we may collect, store, and use the following information about you. If you do not provide the relevant information, you may not be able to register as a user or enjoy some of our services, or the intended effect of those services may not be achieved.

• Personal Information: relevant personal information you provide to us when registering an account or using our services, such as phone number, email address, etc.
• Location Information: information about your location collected when you enable device location functions and use our location-based services, including:
  • Geographic location information collected via GPS or WiFi when you use our services on a mobile device with positioning capabilities;
  • You can stop collecting your geographic location information by turning off the location function.

1.1 Permissions Description

To provide you with complete product features and a better user experience, PATPET may request or use the following device permissions during operation. You can enable or disable these permissions at any time in your device system settings. If you refuse to grant certain permissions, you may not be able to use specific functions related to those permissions, but this will not affect your use of other basic services.

• Camera Permission: used to scan pet chips, take pet photos to upload to personal profiles, participate in community interactions, etc. We only access the camera when you actively trigger relevant operations, and we do not automatically collect images in the background.
• Photo Album Permission: used to select images from your device photo album to upload to PATPET (e.g., setting a pet avatar). We only read the images you actively select and do not batch access or upload your entire album content.
• Bluetooth Permission: used to connect smart pet devices (e.g., smart collars) for device pairing, status synchronization, and remote control. We only use the Bluetooth function when you authorize and actively connect to a device, and we do not continuously scan or collect surrounding Bluetooth signals when not connected.
• Location Permission: used to provide location-based services, such as recording walking trails. If you enable location when registering or using related functions, we will obtain your precise or approximate location via GPS, Wi-Fi, or cell towers. You can turn off location permission at any time in system settings to stop collecting location information (see Section 1 "Information We Collect" for details).
• Notification Permission: used to send service reminders (e.g., feeding reminders, health alerts, message reply notifications, etc.). This permission is only used for local device notification display; we do not collect your notification content or associate it with other data for tracking purposes. You can manage or disable notifications in your device settings.

All permission requests follow the "minimum necessary" principle, requesting only when necessary to achieve specific functions, and any personal information involved is processed strictly in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Whether you grant permissions or not does not affect our lawful use of information already collected (to the extent you have already consented).

2. Information Storage

• We store your information in secure ways, including local storage (e.g., data caching within the App), databases, and server logs.
• Generally, we only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of our services or as required by laws and regulations.

• Currently, we do not transfer or store your personal information across borders. If cross-border transfer or storage becomes necessary in the future, we will inform you of the purpose of the export, the recipient, security assurance measures, and security risks, and obtain your consent.

• In the event that our product or service is discontinued, we will notify you via push notifications, announcements, etc., and delete your personal information or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless otherwise provided by laws or regulations.

3. Information Security

We use various security technologies and procedures to prevent loss, improper use, unauthorized access, or disclosure of information. For example, for certain services, we use encryption technologies (such as SSL) to protect the personal information you provide. However, please understand that due to technical limitations and various malicious means, in the internet industry, even if we do our utmost to enhance security measures, we cannot always guarantee 100% information security. You need to be aware that the systems and communication networks you use to access our services may have issues beyond our control.

4. How We Use Information

We may use the information collected during the provision of services for the following purposes:

• To provide you with services;
• To authenticate your identity, provide customer service, ensure security, detect fraud, archive, and back up when providing services, ensuring the security of the products and services we provide;
• To help us design new services and improve our existing services;
• To better understand how you access and use our services, so that we can respond to your personalized needs, such as language settings, location settings, personalized help services and instructions, or other responses to you and other users;
• To provide you with more relevant advertisements instead of generic ads;
• To evaluate the effectiveness of advertisements and other promotions and campaigns in our services and improve them;
• For software authentication or software upgrade management;
• To involve you in surveys regarding our products and services.

5. Information Sharing

Currently, we do not actively share or transfer your personal information to third parties. If there is any other situation where we share or transfer your personal information, or if you need us to share or transfer your personal information to a third party, we will directly obtain or confirm that the third party obtains your explicit consent for such actions.

For purposes such as delivering advertisements, evaluating and optimizing advertising effectiveness, we need to share some of your data with third-party partners such as advertisers and their agents. We do not publicly disclose collected personal information. If public disclosure is necessary, we will inform you of the purpose of such disclosure, the types of information disclosed, and any sensitive information that may be involved, and obtain your explicit consent.

As our business continues to develop, we may engage in mergers, acquisitions, asset transfers, or other transactions. We will inform you of the relevant circumstances and continue to protect or require the new controller to protect your personal information in accordance with laws, regulations, and standards no less stringent than those set forth in this Privacy Policy.

In addition, according to relevant laws, regulations, and national standards, we may share, transfer, or publicly disclose personal information without obtaining prior authorization from you in the following circumstances:

When you decide to stop using our products or services, you may apply to cancel your account. After cancellation, unless otherwise required by laws or regulations, we will delete or anonymize your personal information.
